Yesterday was Funday Sunday!! After having pancakes for breakfast at Alfredito’s, we went back to the hostel to get ready for the big adventure of the day–ESTENZUELA. We got on the bus and arrived at the entrance to our destination. We ventured downhill until with wide eyes, we found it! Eureka, as the Gold Rush people would say when they found gold–except for, we found a waterfall. Mostly everyone went to have fun in the water even though it was freezing. We’re tough stuff though.
We all had lots of fun and then Whitney took some people on a super adventure to the place where all the water collects before it pours over. We jumped our way across stones in the river and scaled rocky walls until we got to the edge of the top of the waterfall. The view was AMAZING.

After our time at the waterfall, we all made the hike back uphill, climbed on the bus, and traveled to Ecoposada, which was the first place that we got to eat that was different from our daily routine. People ate pork, chicken, or beef plates and washed it down with either passionfruit, berry, or red beet juice drinks. We were all too tired to go for a second hike so we went back to the hostel and rested.

When everyone had a good break, we went out for the second different meal of the day–pizza! Talk about variety; we loved it. We ordered pepperoni, bacon, marguerita (cheese, tomatoes, olives), combo, and Hawaiian pizzas. They were really good and we went back to the hostel with happy stomachs. We passed by the church at night and it had cool lights. Since Adam was carrying the boxes of pizza, we all sang a pizza delivery song from Spongebob Squarepants.
We ended the fun day with a nightly meeting and went to sleep early to get ready for the long day awaiting us.
