¡Hola amigos! My name is Alex Alipio-Jocson (the ‘J’ has an ‘h’ sound like in San Jose) and I attend American High School in Fremont, CA. I play flute for my school’s marching and symphonic bands and this past year, I acted in our school production, Ghost: The Musical. To help me finish an English paper or study for a super hard exam, I drink a lot of boba and blast Bruno Mars or whatever is on my playlist. In my free time, I love to ride my bike on the trail near my house, read comics, and watch movies with friends. Something that you will find out about me sooner or later is that I’m really into superheroes.

For this trip, I’m really excited to travel to a different country for the first time ever! (I’ve never even been to the east coast of the US.) I just completed Spanish 3, in which we occasionally studied Nicaragua, so I’m ready to go an maybe use my Spanish speaking skills. In addition, I’m interested in the food, the lives of the locals, and the history of the country. I’m also looking forward to the nice views of the water.

I’m so glad I got this opportunity from Global Glimpse and I can’t wait to meet all of you! ¡Hasta julio!

(By the way, I go by Alex AJ on Facebook. 🙂)
