Hi everyone!

First, we want to say how much we are looking forward to meeting all of you this summer.

We will be based in one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, with more than 500,000 species of wildlife, many of which are classified as endangered or threatened.

During our 14 day travel immersion program, we will be contributing to our curriculum in the areas of history and culture, education, deconstruction, global business, aid and development, and environmental justice.

We are ready to show you what Costa Rica has to offer and what the Pura Vida philosophy is all about.

So, I am sure you are wondering: who are we?

Get ready to start one of the most beautiful adventures that we have planned for you and stay open to enjoy the journey too. We are very excited to know you all in person, but for now to start to get to know each other let me introduce our Program Coordinators.

My name is Alejandro Salinas, I am from Monterrey, Mexico. I studied Psychology. I started working in the educational travel industry in 2013 and haven’t looked back since!

I have been able to travel to Australia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Fiji Islands, New Zealand and Peru, sharing experiences with students about sustainable development and responsible travel, while building communities that feel like family at the end of each program. I am now very honored to be part of this amazing adventure with Global Glimpse.

I am María Vazquez, I am a Social Worker and a Mental Health Promoter. I started working with young leaders since I was in university while I was coordinating the Health Leadership group, where most of my job was related to Mental Health.

After years of working with teenagers, I have found in them some special strength, energy, hope and motivation.

Last year I started my journey in this industry properly, and the thing I’ve enjoyed the most, without a doubt, is to be the connection between you, youths, and the communities. Not just because I really love my country, but because I have seen the impact that those experiences have in kids and teachers from the schools and kinder, in the families that you support, in yourselves, growing and living…

I am looking forward to being together at our Base House, to meet each other and to start this amazing experience for 14 days building community and sharing our culture. I want you to feel welcome once you arrive to Costa Rica, and I invite you since now, to picture yourself, on Monday night, looking at the sky full of stars in Turrialba, Cartago.

Have a safe trip!
