Our delegation finally had a full day together with both GGL’s Alberto & Nicole plus our two PC’s Felix & Heyssel at Constanza. This group has shown great “Flexibility” over the past few days and today learned about “Passione” for the DR’s culture through art & music. We met Gato to design our own carnival mask & later in the day learned about the merengue & bachata from Rachel, a GG ambassador who had to fill in for Paul. We are excited for our 1st day of actual ET, English Teaching, our lesson plans are ready to go for tomorrow. We were able to get through everything that was planned finally without any major hiccups (OMG….almost!) Big Love to Grace for celebrating her 17th Birthday with her new GG C2C family! The remaining days will probably just speed on by now since all of us are getting use to the daily routine and know what to expect. Photos to come but having downloading issues.

Hey Irvington people and their fellow glimpsers,
Learning about the culture through art and music must’ve been super eye opening. Also, as a past glimpser, one of my favorite experiences was English tutoring and I am super excited for you all to experience that. English tutoring for you all will be a great time for you all to interact with the locals and become familiar with your teaching styles. Planning may be stressful, but when it comes down to teaching the information, you all will see that its not that bad as you are really teaching from your heart. As for the group of students that are teaching the advanced students, you will see that they are really advanced. A suggestion for this group is try a spelling bee, since spelling was a weaker point in my group, this will definitely help your students. Anyways, good luck to you all, everyone will do great.
P.S- Happy Belated B-day Grace, sharing your birthday with your global glimpse family must’ve been awesome. Hope you had a great day.
