Buenas noches! Just a quick note to let you know that the C1C delegation has arrived safe and sound! After a few delays, the group arrived to the Santiago airport and made their way to a local hotel, where they munched on some pizza and had their first nightly meeting. After that, it was time for some Zzzzzz’s!
Fun fact: Did you know that both Santiago and Constanza make up part of the “Cibao” region of the DR, which is considered the DR’s heartland? Cibaeños, the people from this area, are really well-known for their hospitality, kind of similar to the reputation of the Midwest in the US. (Also, C1C is the Cibao’s first and only Chicago delegation for this year!)
