Hello to all of our Glimpsers and family members out there!
My name is Andrew Wetmore and I will be one of your GG Leaders for our upcoming trip to Constanza! I for one am beyond excited for our trip and cannot wait for this wonderful life-changing opportunity!
For a little bit of background information on myself, I was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After college, I taught preschool for a while before moving out to Chicago to teach high schoolers. I am a high school PE teacher at Pritzker College Prep, on the northwest side of Chicago. I will be starting my fifth year teaching there this fall and this is my first year with Global Glimpse.
The opportunity to work with you all through Global Glimpse is very meaningful to me. As someone who has traveled very little up until the past few years, I can say from my own experiences that I missed out on a lot of culturally diverse experiences during my formative years as a teen and young adult, which I believe are fundamentally important for building essential leadership qualities that we all should possess. I am very excited to broaden my horizons and expand my cultural understanding of the world, and I hope you are all eager to embrace this challenge as well as we travel to DR, and are open to trying new things and meeting new people!
With all the love and excitement possible,
Andrew
Hi Andrew–thank you for your message. Glad you are there and helping to shape what will be a memorable experience for these students. With your Phys Ed background, hoping that they will also be able to get some exercise in while they are there!
Enjoy and thank you.
Anne
