Hi Everyone! My name is Dominique Johnson and I am a high school ELA teacher at The Brooklyn School for Collaborative Studies. I am one of your leaders for your trip to San Juan De La Maguana, and I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you! I’m definitely a child at heart and I love to have fun, tell jokes, and play games. I have explored many talents like spoken word, rap, hip-hop and step dancing, acting, and even a little modeling. I love to work out and stay active, and I’m really good at scuba diving. My ultimate goal is to sky dive!
I’ve done some traveling throughout the Caribbean to Jamaica, Antigua, Puerto Plata, D.R., St. Lucia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, The Bahamas, and most recently, Barbados. I look forward to returning to D.R. to get the true Dominican experience and finally learn some Spanish. I was born and raised in NYC, but its always great to travel abroad and experience life beyond the U.S.
I look forward to bonding with you all and learning as much as we possibly can. See you soon!
