Hey this is Mickenzie, if you forgot what I looked like don’t look for the cowboy hat this time look for the white girl wearing a Minnie mouse shirt 🙂 .. sorry this is going to be brief because this is my third time restarting and writing again because the internet keeps shutting off, but I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop so here is what we did today basically and I can expand on it more tomorrow if there is time available. I am so sorry for the inconvenience , and I will do my best to write more tomorrow.
So basically we started the day off at waking up at 6 am, then we ate some bomb breakfast at the same place we always do. Then we had an academic seminar given by Victoria (one of our global glimpse leaders). Afterwards we took a public bus to a school for the disabled where we got to play with the children and learn about the regulations and how they were taught. And then we took a private bus to an orphanage where we got to play with the children and learn about how things work there as well. Later we got our lesson plans ready for English tutoring and then we ate dinner and then we taught our English class then that brings us to now.
I thank you guys  for even taking the time out of your day to read this as well as for your understanding of the internet failure. I will do my best to write more tomorrow.
thanks again

Thanks so much for the update, Mickenzie – in spite of the Internet problems, which can be frustrating, especially after a long day. Lots of smiles on everyone’s faces. Have wonderful adventures on Wednesday. And Hi Monica, your cat is still fine.
Thank you Mickenzie for the blog, despite having to write it multiple times, it was full of information on your very full day. Wow! A school for the disabled and then an orphanage, that’s pretty intense emotionally. From the pictures with the children, it looks like they enjoyed your presence, I am sure that it make a big impact on them. Nod then lesson planning… I am a teacher so I know that cn be complicated and intimidating. Thank you again, we all look forward reading these daily blogs and looking at the pictures. Anna you look happy even with a young child on your back!
Thanks for taking the time to write the blog and post pictures. It’s the highlight of my day! It’s so nice to participate vicariously through each of you.
Hey to everyone, props if you get the reference, if not you’re lame. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope that you guys enjoy the trip
Hi Mickenzie and Jordan! Thanks for keeping us updated, Mickenzie. It is so great to hear about everything you’ve been up to down there. Sounds like a great trip so far, can’t wait to hear more when you return. – Colin
