Hi I am Annakari. I go to Oakland School for the Arts, and am in the dance department. I don’t know any Spanish – instead I took four years of American Sign Language, and this past year I volunteered at a Deaf Preschool.
I travel very often over the summers and have been outside of the states several times (Norway, Denmark, and Germany). I am very excited to emerge myself in the culture in Panama. I love traveling to new places and learning from their ways of life. However, I am nervous about traveling without people I know. I am used to going on trips with friends and family so this will be very different. I am confident that I will make new friends and have fun. I can’t wait to meet you all on this trip!
