Salutations Friends and Loved Ones!
Today we had the luxury of sleeping in until 8am. We had the local favorite of  gallo pinto with delicious eggs and ham. Then we had the opportunity to call home and speak with our lovely families. Everyone then parted their separate ways into the beautiful city of Matagalpa. Today we also had a very special occasion, and that was the birthday of our one and only Sravya!! The group came together and bought a delicious chocolate cake. Lunch was more interesting in the sense that we ate chicken with cream of chicken instead of just gallo pinto. It was a great lunch and we all enjoyed it.
After lunch there was even more free time!! Some of us who were not feeling good returned back to bed while the ones who were feeling good went out to explore the city again. After the free time, some of us travelled over to ADIC to plan the project even more. We talked to the workers there to ensure that our project would be as effective as possible. Then we returned to the hostel for a delicious meal of sandwiches and french fries!! Mmmmm those were so good.
After dinner, we walked to El Progresso to continue teaching the students there all about English. It was an amazing day that was filled with a lot of relaxing, eating, walking, and shopping. It was a much needed free day and everyone in our delegation enjoyed it. I hope that you all enjoyed the calls that we made to you all!! 🙂
