We woke up and ate breakfast at Alfredito. After breakfast we met with Lolito from La Garnacha to discuss the details of our Community Action Project, where we plan to build a library next to the church. Afterwards, we went to La Casita to meet up with Lauryn & Rodney in which they gave us a descriptive introduction about their programs Global Brigades and ERSLA. We then got an hour to spend at the café in which students took pictures and ate the scrumptious food the café offered. During the talk with Lauryn and Rodney we learned how to differentiate between aid and development. We also learned how we could possibly make our library project sustainable. After lunch, we split into groups with Javier and Whitney to buy the needed materials to use for our project. Afterwards, we walked to Casa de Cultura for an English class. Then we ate dinner at Alfredito, and we had our nightly meeting. We started off the day busy, but we ended the night on a positive note.
