I am a dance major with a minor in cultural diplomacy. I have taught dance weekly to elementary school students through Kaufman Connections, and mentored younger first generation college students. Through dance, I have been in a William Forsythe concert and in a music video with Brandy ft. Chance the Rapper. This summer I will be researching anthropology and hope to eventually be a Public Policy Analyst or Public Relations Specialist.

I am a political science major and work as a comms fellow for a non profit organization called CBE whose mission is to bring environmental justice to frontline low income communities of color. Ultimately, my goal is to help solve social issues. I can see myself working at a global business or non profit, and I am excited to be exposed to the global opportunities through this fellowship. I feel it is my duty to make use of every resource I have to help those who don’t.

I am an electrical engineering student with a passion for designing circuits. My long term goal is to contribute to making Space no longer a dream. I am currently working on a Senior Design Project to build an electric car to compete against other universities, and this summer I will be a Hardware Developer intern for IBM. I have a reputation for always smiling, and it’s because I believe it can give others hope and also put a smile on their faces.

I am currently majoring in International Relations, and I am part of a club called Alianza Latina which raises awareness about the systemic issues the LatinX community faces. Through the Posse scholarship program, I am able to network with people across various fields, and through Richmond Promise, I mentor prospective college students on the application process. I am excited to learn from people working with companies internationally.

I am currently a brand ambassador at Discord. Last year, I worked with the Black Technology Mentorship Program to promote diversity and equality in the workplace. At my family’s restaurant, I raised revenue by 60% by designing a website and social media campaign, setting up delivery services, and shooting and editing 500+ food photos. I also won the NCWA California State Championship and was ranked #2 nationally in my wrestling weight class.

I am a double major in community youth development and social work and will be adding a third in political science. I play Division 1 rugby and work with Partners For Service to promote positive influences in the lives of various people across Rochester at domestic violence centers, homeless shelters, and nursing homes. I am excited to learn how global companies operate and how I can translate that into helping people.

Currently, I am a political science student striving toward a career in foreign service and international relations. I have a passion for learning, and I find myself desiring greater paths for knowledge. I am interested in places such as the United Nations, the IMF, World Bank, and the Department of State, and I believe this fellowship will allow me to understand more of the intricacies of how companies work globally.

My plan is to major in media studies, and I work at my school’s Office of Communications & Public Affairs, curating content across social media channels. I also started a mentorship program at my high school to support other first generation and low-income students to bridge the information gap in college applications. Recently, I kickstarted a food blogging Instagram account, through which I expose my followers to new cuisines from around the world.

Through Global Citizen Year, I spent nine months in Ecuador last year, and now I am a youth mentor, coaching three youth leaders through the same program.

I am pursuing a major in Society and Environment, which lies at the intersection of my passions for people, health, math, and renewable energy. I am involved in the Sunrise Movement and the Leadership & Environmental Equity Program which allow me to learn and practice addressing environmental, racial, and social justice. I am interested in Africa and the South Pacific and aspire to help bring clean energy there.

I am studying international relations and beginning a minor in strategy, leadership, and analytics. I have worked for the nonprofit ACORN International to improve the quality of life of working class people, and currently work for my school’s Center of Academic Equity to pay forward the generosity I received from similar programs as a first generation low income student myself. I am also a Peer Mentor for the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity.

I support incoming first year students as a peer counselor for the Urban Education Summer Bridge Program, and I have been an RA for my dorm for the past year. In addition, I have been working on two businesses. The first is a self actualization group through which a friend and I coach a new cohort each month toward their goals. For the second, my true passion, I paint and sell original customized jean jackets, which I began while in high school.

Currently, I am studying business management, and my goal for the future is to work at an advertising firm, including working at an advertising internship this summer. I take care of my great grandmother and grandmother in hopes of repaying them for taking care of me, and I am looking to help the members of my community in NYC who were hurt by COVID. I am excited about this fellowship to learn the technical aspects of running a global business.

I am studying international relations with minors in psychology and education. I am hoping to get my teaching credentials in the future and work as an educator. For three years, I have been a CARE peer educator, where I increase awareness about healthy relationships and sexual violence. I also run events to raise money to support Empower Yolo, a local crisis intervention center for people affected by domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence.

I am on a gap year interning for the US Department of State and volunteering at the oldest Black art center in the US. I aspire to be a professional photographer and cinematographer to uplift young Black and queer people. Since dedicating myself to this work, I have been published in the NY Times, recognized by the Chicago Public Library System, and recognized nationally twice by the YoungArts Foundation.

I am currently taking courses on criminal justice and I am looking forward to an internship working hands-on with forensics teams. I also love learning about different cultures, and it has always been a goal of mine to be able to hold a job through which I can travel and help others. I am excited for this fellowship for the sake of personal growth and to learn how a global company works, especially one whose products I use every day.
