With a big smile and positive attitude, we received today 21 students along with 2 Global Glimpse Leaders that successfully stepped foot in the Dominican Republic!!! After 3 month of preparation it’s been a pleasure of ours – Maria Nouni and I – to meet them all. Although everyone was exhausted from traveling, the students kept up their energy and their smiles throughout the afternoon and were able to push through. A highlight for us was definitely when the students got to meet and learn about our accommodation provider, Israel, as he told the story of founding the orphanage we are staying in. We also snapped a quick photo at the end of day with our Unity Clap.
