Today, 28 students along with 3 Global Glimpse leaders successfully stepped foot in the Dominican Republic!!! After three months of planning for this day it was so exciting for us coordinators to meet the students and bring this summer program to life! Although everyone was exhausted from traveling, the students kept up their energy and their smiles throughout the day. A highlight for us was definitely when the students got to meet and learn about our accommodations provider, Israel, as he told the story of founding the orphanage we are staying in. We also met and snapped a quick photo with our amazing United Airlines sponsors at the airport to kick off a great summer 🙂
