Today, 25 students along with 3 Global Glimpse Leaders successfully stepped foot in the Dominican Republic!!! After having already received three wonderful delegations, we are so excited to finish the summer strong with our first Chicago delegation. It’s already been exciting for us coordinators to meet the students and our very lovely GGLS and bring this last, but definitely not least, delegation to life.
Although everyone was exhausted from traveling, the students kept up their energy and their smiles throughout the day and were able to push through. A highlight for us was definitely when the students got to meet and learn about our accommodation provider, Israel, as he told the story of founding the orphanage we are staying in. We also met and snapped a quick photo at the airport to mark the beginning of what will be a great trip 🙂

I’m so happy that everyone arrived safety and you’re off to a great start, I was a little concerned about the dry hot weather there, my daughter Alexys suffers from severe nose bleeds from the humidity is there anyway that students can go to a store and purchase little fans?
