Today was a rather exiting day – it was beach day!!! Today we rediscovered the concept of big waves, sunburns, and trying to avoid the hot sand.  My peers bonded with each other on another level. We explored the swamp filled with different insects, birds and sea life. In addition, we let the waves carry us to shore, and we allowed the sun to tan our already tan bodies.

The most surprising thing that I experienced today was how enchanting and beautiful Nicaragua can really be. We were only experiencing the urban part of the country, until today and believe me it’s worth coming back for.

Being El Lider Del Dia was not an easy task. I didn’t notice until the night before that I picked the day where I had to be most  attentive. People were depending on me to make sure that the day turned out fine.  But overall I enjoyed being that “fearless leader” and I liked when people trusted me and handed me over a great amount of responsibility to be able to prove myself. It was fun, being Lider Del Dia, especially on a day where everyone was exited and having tons of fun. I’m pretty sure my group didn’t want to leave.

Even with all this excitement I was able to reflect on myself that evening. I re-assured myself that when I am handed such huge responsibilities I am able to see them through. Overall today was a good day.
