Waking up to the sunrise was the start of the day. We gathered everyone to get ready for this very exciting day. Our short journey to the beach began after breakfast, which was eggs, bread, fruit, and cereal. As we got to the beach some Glimpsers were rushing to nice blue water while the weather was decent – not too hot, not too cold, but just enough. People were either gathering shells others playing volleyball in the water. Some vendors came by where many Glimpsers decided to take this opportunity and buy jewelry. After that, some Glimpsers went to the mini-mart to buy some delicious snacks while the others continued to stay at the beach. A short while later, another group went to shop as well. The other Glimpsers that already did that, got in the water. We left earlier than expected since people took long showers after the pool last night. Additionally, many of us did not get to shower due to a temporary water and electricity outage at the villa. We did have an amazing lunch though, where we had rice over beans with curry chicken and plantains as well as fruit. After lunch, we had some time to pack our belongings and head back out to Jarabacoa around 1:30 pm. During our 4-hour-plus drive, we made a playlist with inclusive taste in music that everyone enjoyed. Halfway on our journey back, we made a pit stop where many of us got food, souvenirs, and ice cream. As the Leaders of the Day, we were proud of our group collaboration today. We came back around 5-ish, and got showered and ready for dinner. We surprisingly got pizza and devoured all 6 boxes and 5 bottles of Coke.  Being the Leader of the Day was surprisingly fun and not too commanding – we loved it. Today we learned how to manage a big group like this with many different types of characteristics.
