Greetings, Glimpsers!

My name is Mollie Wright, and I am one of our trip’s three Global Glimpse Leaders. I’m originally from SoCal, but I’ve been in the Bay Area for the past six years working in education. Currently, I teach English at James Logan High School in Union City, CA. Before that, I was an educational consultant in the South Bay, and before that I was a Peace Corps Volunteer English Teacher in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)!

Education and travel are two of my great passions, so I’m obviously pumped for our trip! This is my second year as a GGL. I’ve had the privilege to travel to Esteli, Nicaragua last year with Global Glimpse (with one of our co-GGLs, Matt!) and to teach abroad in FSM and in Costa Rica (photos below). I became a GGL because I have experienced firsthand how much can be learned about the world around us when we get out of our comfort zone, and I think it’s awesome that you, as high school students, have signed up for that great challenge!

Matt and Caitlin (the other GGLs) and I will be contacting you shortly to make sure everyone is ready to go, but feel free to post your own introduction on the blog! We can’t wait to meet all of you!
