Hello Family and Friends, Today we started our Community Action Project (CAP) in Cañada de las Palmas! After interviewing and speaking with the community members we have decided to make a basketball court for the people of the community. We spent the night before prepping and making sure that all of our materials were ready to go, all of the glimpsers had their working positions, and had specific groups such as (Management, Design, and Construction) which then meet with each other to ensure that everyone was on the same page and was able to participate. When the awaited day finally came the glimpsers woke up at 7:30 am and ate a pancake and fruit salad breakfast. After arriving at Cañada de las Palmas at 9:15 we began work. Although it was slightly hectic and didn’t go as planned at first, things stared to fall into place as we continued working. We were hit with different challenges and barriers but we always over came them and only worked harder. Today we focused on building the support wall and leveling the dirt so that we can pour the cement over it by tomorrow. Though we were exhausted from our first CAP day we were still determined to give 100% to our last tutoring class at El Centro Educativo Arroyo Arriba. Tutoring those children, teens, and adults was a life changing experience that none of us will ever forget.

Thank you all for taking the time and effort to read our post. We miss you all very much and cant wait to see you in the next 4 days!!! To be continued….
