We had our first CAP (Community Action Project) day today, where we were split into three teams. The first team fully painted a sensory room to help kids with disabilities. The second team had to dig holes and place tires into the ground to make the path safer for the kids in wheelchairs and people with disabilities. The last team had to move a fallen tree and then dig to install posts in the ground; this serves as a protective barrier for the students of Carlos Garbay. Lastly, we had a great dinner, where me (Andy) and one of the GGLs (Christian) tried chontacuro, a grub from the Amazon. This day was an incredibly meaningful and fulfilling experience for all of us.
