imageOur day started with an early wake up call so we could have an earlier start  on the CAP project. We had some amazing breakfast and then started on our way to Maguana al Medio to begin the CAP project. Our plan was to create a safe place for kids to be during the day and keep them away from danger. We decided that our CAP project would be a library. The school already had a room for the library and some books. All we had to do was plan, arrange, organize books, design murals, and get a couple more books. On our last free day, the day before our first CAP day, we got the books and Solanna, the founder of FUMADEMA, got the rest of our supplies that we needed. We got on the bus after breakfast and our first stop was at Solanna’s to get the supplies. After that we headed to ,clean up ,and start painting the room while the guys finished the bookshelf that the community started. After we cleaned up Solanna came in and asked us to switch the design for the murals around, we struggled to see how else we could put it at first but then we figured it out and started to paint. We got the base coat for he main wall done fast then we started the other three murals while the wall dried. While the mural group was working on the walls, the book organization group started on the organization of the books and the guys finished the bookshelf. In our 5 hour time slot we all had accomplished a lot of work. We only need to do touch ups and finish painting the murals. Our group did really well and we our extremely proud of how much everyone accomplished. Congrats Glimpsers!
