Hello, lovelies! It’s Nisitha, still alive and kicking.

What’s up y’all its Lahari (yes mom I am eating alright).

The day started off on a high note, quite literally, since we started our day with a mini hike up Chimborazo volcano, which is up to 20,000 feet high. Even though the high elevation, we were able to slay through it. Even if Kai’s conspiracy theories about monsters weren’t true, we did end up seeing a lot of cool animals such as vicuñas (the Ecuadorian cousin of a llama) and plants such as one that looked like bunny ears and weirdly felt like them too. We even had breakfast at the volcanoes, and to Vani and Max’s delight, we were even able to get instant noodles (woo!!). On the bus rides in between the different areas, we all got to listen to Enrique’s epic playlist and have never-ending heart-to-hearts.

Back at the hotel, we had time to pack our bags (we’ve only got 30 minutes for it tomorrow) and just enjoy each other’s company for a while. Eileen took us to the convenience store to peruse the wares, some of us played soccer with some new kids that are part of a different program (they’re staying here for SIX WEEKS with no internet), The rest of the day was filled with bittersweet lasts, from our last dinner here at the Primavera and our last nightly meeting. We even had a moment where we thanked our favorite hotel staff member, Carmita, with a few gifts. I genuinely feel like every person here has a personal connection with every other person (I know I do) and it was really exciting to see the interesting friendships that came out of these two weeks filled with various learning experiences.

I think what we’re trying to say is, whoever’s reading this is obviously someone who has indirectly or directly affected this trip.

And thank you for that, so much.

Signing off, Lahari and Nisitha. See you guys in a hot second.
