Today was such an amazing day!! G1A had so much fun. Just to do a brief recap (because we did a lot of things)… Early in the morning we had Nacatamal a very common weekend dish for Nicaraguan, and YES, they eat it just on weekends. Then we went to San Juan de Oriente where we met Don Jose Alfredo and learned a lot about pottery. In this beautiful and refreshing town almost everyone knows how to do artesanias and they are so pretty. Some of the pottery that Jose does is in order to preserve pre-Colombian history.
We also learned how to work on the wheel and painted our pottery!!! It was a great morning.
During the afternoon we had some dance classes, and we discovered the diversity of dances per region that Nicaragua has and busted some moves.
Just look at the pictures! We all had a blast!

Everyone was so in to it!!
