Hello Parents, Guardians, Family and Friends!
My name is Marcela Berrios and I am the VP of International Programs for Global Glimpse. I am writing you today to let you know that the internet signal is down in Constanza but should be back up tomorrow! We know how important these blog updates are to you, so we wanted to make sure there was a post up for you today. Kimiko, Kelsey and Anette will be writing a more extensive post about their day tomorrow!
For now, I am happy to report that our Glimpsers had a fantastic day today learning about Dominican culture! Today students had a mask-making workshop and also a dance class where they learned how to bachata and merengue to classic and popular Latin songs! The students channeled the island’s energy in every dance step!
Students also had their first opportunity to prep to teach their first English Class next week as well as a “Get to know you” self-reflection.
