Today we woke up at 7 am, then we ate breakfast at 8 am, many of us woke up sore from the previous day. Again we had a quick breakfast and left the ranch at 8:45 am, drove to the CAP site, and started working right away. A lot of us moved piles of gravel and sand to make room for more benches. Later we created more cement for the benches. Many chipped in to help carry the heavy wheel barrels and hand-mixed concrete. Although it was hotter then yesterday, everyone still kept a positive attitude throughout the day.

By 12 o’clock, the whole group was more than ready for lunch. We all cheered when we saw the chef pull into the park. We had a great lunch and enjoyed each other’s company over fried chicken, salad, and lemonade. After lunch, we played with the kids for a little. Some played basketball, others played volleyball or soccer. Then we headed back to work and started painting the aqueducts. Some of the neighborhood kids chipped in to help us with painting. They enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed theirs.

After a long hard day at work, we ended th day early at 3:30 and had our free time in the city. Many of us got ice cream to cool off while others got smoothies from our new favorite restaurants. While in the city, we planned a surprise for GG leader Rubith including a birthday cake, candles, and songs. We all congratulated her on another year of life and gave her all our love. For dinner, we enjoyed each other’s company again and played games, some learning new games. Overall today was a tiring, hot, and productive day with very delicious food. bye 🙂
