Hello everybody! Our keen-eyed viewers will notice the leader of the day pic had a returning face, that is mine, Emerico’s! My co-leader of the day is Gregory, one of my good friends who needed someone to partner up with him as a Leader of the Day. And while we’re talking about him, I’ll let him tell ya’ll all about this morning!

Greg here! We started the day pretty tired and sore from the day before but we tried to get the energy back up by playing Red Rover! After playing for a while, we went back to our normal workstations, the “house” or “wall” people went to to work on the house, and the “floor” people went back to working on the floors. Although everyone was exhausted we continued to work hard as we could so we could give these beautiful families another part of their house.

Changing writers for the lunch portion of the day, Greg and I also served the lunch and poured everyone’s drinks which was very fun.  We also decided to switch everyone’s groups to really get the full experience of making a house! That means “floor” people went to the “house”, work area, and “house” people went to the ‘floor” people’s work area. Being on the house team, it was very fun being able to see how to make floors. There was a different mixture needed to make the floor, and new techniques needed to lay the floor. I’ll pass this on to Greg so he can tell you guys the perspective of a “floor” person working on walls.

Hey guys it’s me, the one and only–> Gregory! Although my group and I were a little sad because we had to leave the family we were making floors for, it was still fun working on the walls. As Emerico said earlier, the “floor” and “wall” groups had different methods of mixing cement. While the techniques themselves weren’t much different, it was harder to mix the cement when adding in gravel because of its’ weight. No matter the difference, my group was fun to work with. As you can see we had a couple of funny moments pictured throughout the day. Emerico’s group was supposed to do the “thousand-year stare” but ended up doing the whatever you want stare… Also, as a “floor” person working on the walls, our experience was not that different after all because we ended up continuously mixing up cement and it was scorching hot after lunch. Fun Fact: There was pasta salad with and without mayo, there was eggplant for our vegetarians, some passion fruit juice, steak fajitas, rice, and lentils. Anyways. We all came back home tired, but our GGL leaders were kind enough to bring the group to get empanadas again as some people who wanted them missed out the day before. We continued as normal, ate an amazing dinner, had our nightly meeting, and spread so much love everywhere! It’s getting late now, so I’m going to end the “day” here and we will all see you tommorrowwww!
