Today was a great day for us. We got the opportunity to visit a nursery and purchase some plants for our C.A.P project. We bought several beautiful flowers and some unique trees to add a hint of color to our project. Then we went to Fundacion Cristal, to finish some touch ups and also to plant the flowers that we purchased. Throughout the day, we witnessed several of our group mates expressing their love and compassion for one another and also for the C.A.P project itself. Each group continued to finish up their individual projects: finishing the sandbox, completing the tire games, painting the benches and tables, and also to remove several boulders from the ground. After we finished eating lunch, it started to rain quite viciously to the point where we all took shelter under a canopy that had several holes in it. Which then lead to use, one by one, running into the wasp infested library. Once the sun rose after the storm, we finally finished all of our projects, with the help of the Bombero (fireman), and ended the project with a unity clap to celebrate our hard-work and “exito” of our project! We came back to our hostel, and celebrated with some delicious pizza that our in country leaders, Margarita & Heyssel, surprised us with. We went to english tutoring, which turned out to be an amazing day due to the students acting extra attentive and engaged. We finally came back to our second home, and ended the day with a heartfelt nightly meeting which had tons of love to go around and we slowly realized we only have a few days left with each other. Aileen told everyone to remember to love each other and especially love themselves. Love you all!
