Hey family and friends, this is Lillian and Harini here bringing you the last blog post for this trip! Today we got to sleep in till 8 in the morning, which was pretty great considering the last 3 days were pretty strenuous because of our CAP project. After waking up, we headed to Rosaura’s for breakfast, where we were fed cereal!

After we got back we had our last program seminar, where we shared our appreciation for one another.

We then headed back to Rosaura’s for lunch, where we had rice, chicken, and salad ( NO, mom, I did not eat the chicken, I had beans – Harini). We got back and had our last explore time, where we fruitlessly searched for souvenir stores, which were all closed on Sundays. We got back and some of us decided to finish up packing, while others played card games! We then headed over to Rosaura’s one last time for dinner, where we were all “surprised” to see a live Dominican band and a handful of Global Glimpse ambassadors.

We all then put on our dancing shoes and danced for the next couple hours, until we couldn’t dance no more. We ate dinner, talked, and laughed until we had to bid a teary farewell! With heartfelt goodbyes, and with tears welling in our eyes, we thanked Rosaura and her family for the wonderful meals they provided us for the last 16 days!

We got back, listened to Sehar “rap” to her own song called “Sixteen Days,” and Holly projected her pictures, we all took a trip down memory lane from when we all took our first picture at SFO until the very last day!

Global Glimpse has been one wild ride, that none of us are ever going to forget. On June 30th we were all a bunch of strangers waiting at the airport, and tonight at the end of the 16 days, we have become family!

SEE YOU ALL AT SFO IN A COUPLE LONG HOURS !!!

P.S- I MISS YOU MOM AND DAD AND RAGHU !! – HARINI <3
