Todays day started off with a trip to an indigenous sacred area called The Catcha. We toured a museum of indigenous heritage and a ceremony field. We learned all about the lifestyles thats indigenous peoples have lived and passed on from generation to generation. We then gathered for a spiritual ceremony that helped cleanse the body from all the negative energy and also helped to cure parts of the body. As leader of the day I volunteered to be the subject of the healing ceremony. He started of by using natural oils and incense and followed by using an egg as the object that absorbed all the bad energies and also showed him a part of my body that wasn’t well. After the cracked the egg, and by looking at it told me the that I had two siblings and a mom and dad.He said I was having trouble with my lungs due to the new environment and their was someone who was remembering me and missing me who’s name started with an M. I was amazed with the accuracy and I wondered if my sister Monica was thinking of me. I felt really light and relaxed afterwards. After, the ceremony we ate a traditional indigenous foods and enjoyed an amazing view until it started raining. After our amazing day with indigenous peoples we came back to the hostel and played a 2 hour soccer game and ate an amazing dinner. We finished off our day off with creating our english 1o1 tutoring class schedules. Overall bieng leader of the day was extremely fun but also difficult and I have never been so excited to go to bed at 10 pm in summer vacation! I want to say SHOUT OUT to my family im doing amazing and Ive learned so much in these 4 days already and hope to keep growing more and more during this trip. I love you guys and see you in 14 days!
