Hello families of Glimpsers,

As Leaders Del Dia, we began with a 7 am wake-up call followed by an 8 am breakfast. Unfortunately, the Guagua was delayed and we didn’t hop on until 10 am and our driver, Kelvin, took us to the beach. We spent our time at the beach taking pictures, buying souvenirs, finding beautiful seashells, and swimming in the crystal-clear water. Most of us were devastated to leave the beach. Kelvin drove us back to our casa, where we then ate lunch (beans, rice, veggies, chicken, tostones). After that, we quickly got ready and headed to San Pedro de Macoris. First, we stopped at Bon for some ice cream and then we split up into our CAP groups and enjoyed shopping. We met up at Ibarra and headed home. We had some free time to spare after arriving, so we bonded with each other and made calls home to our families. At 7 pm, we got together for dinner (spaghetti, rice, fruit, bread). Like every night before, we met up at the pavilion for our nightly meeting, we talked about the highs and lows of the day and shared our “big loves”. Getting ready for our new day tomorrow, the new leaders showed us their talents and then we passed the torch. Our new leaders, Amber, Max, and Samia, are now ready to lead tomorrow. Like nights before, we ended the night dancing, singing, playing pool, and swinging on the hammock. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s blog.

PS: Parents we are having trouble with phone calls, we are working on fixing the issue, and students will continue to call home tomorrow.
