Greetings, Glimpsers!

My name is Mollie Wright, and I am one of our trip’s two Global Glimpse Leaders. I’m originally from SoCal, but I’ve been in the Bay Area for the past five years working in education. Currently, I teach English at James Logan High School in Union City, CA. Before that, I was an educational consultant in the South Bay, and before that I was a Peace Corps Volunteer English Teacher in the Federated States of Micronesia! Education and travel are two of my great passions, so I’m obviously pumped for our trip! I’ve had the privilege to teach abroad in FSM and in Costa Rica (photos below), and I’ve traveled with students around California (and once to Beijing and Tianjin, China!). I became a GGL because I have experienced firsthand how much can be learned about the world around us when we get out of our comfort zone, and I think it’s awesome that you, as high school students, have signed up for that great challenge!

Matt (the other GGL) and I will be contacting you shortly to make sure everyone is ready to go, but feel free to post your own introduction on the blog! I can’t wait to meet all of you!
