Hola Amigos y Familias!!!!! It’s Farid and Ergi!!!!! Today was the last day of our Community Action Project! We started the day with a yummy French toast prepared by Dona Vera! After breakfast, we had our Mental Warm Up where we discussed the plans of the day. After the meeting, we headed straight to the school. There we were thrilled by a performance from the students of the community school. We had a few stretches and got ready to continue our work from the other days. The workload was bigger than usual, but thanks to the hard work from everyone we were able to achieve our goal for the day. On top of that, we were able to do more work than planned. We finished filling the cracks on the gym floor and were able to paint the area where the students hang out and eat lunch. After a great lunch of rice, beans, chicken, and beetroot we headed straight back to work. After finishing our work we all got in a circle and congratulated each other for the hard work we put in to help out the community of Aquiares. We want to give a special shout-out to Antonio (Toño). Without him, this would have been impossible to achieve. He picked up after our mistakes and taught us how to do everything better. Afterward, we went to “El Chino” and bought a few snacks to enjoy with each other. After getting back to the House we got to call our loved ones. For dinner, we enjoyed pasta with white sauce with some toast and salad. After dinner, we finished our Letters of Appreciation for those who made everything possible. We ended the day off by signing each other’s journals and chilling out with music on the front porch. We appreciate all the great comments, and miss all of you!

Liana I’m so glad you talked me into letting you go on this trip!! I was so afraid, I almost didn’t. I’m thankful Global Glimpse gave my baby girl this amazing opportunity. Also to the GGLs for updating us everyday with pics and videos, that helped us stay connected . We are so grateful for everything.
