Today was our second free day, we learned how effective we are when we split up in different groups to complete different tasks. Some of the students went in a group to paint a mural, others had to buy materials for the community action project, and the rest went to visit one of Constanza’s greatest monument, El Divino Nino. By splitting up into different groups, many tasks were taken care of, and it helped us save a lot of time. In the second half of the day, we had an English tutoring session. We learned the impact and importance education has on people’s lives and in the community. With education comes power, power to better ourselves and the world that surrounds us. Being the leader of the day was a great responsibility. We had to stay on top of everything and were responsible for ensuring all activities were carried out effectively. And at the end of the day, the entire group felt very proud and satisfied to see so much done within such little time.
