Today was our first free day!
We woke up a bit later than usual, as today we woke at 8:00 am and proceeded to prepare for breakfast at 8:30 am. After breakfast our first free day truly began, we were free to do as we pleased until lunch. Instead of using our free day to fool around, some of us decided to go back to Nutre Hogar (a local daycare) and take measurements for our CAP project (shout out goes to Jordan, Jacquline, and Victoria), as those students went to take the measurements, others decided to take their clothes to the laundromat. After some time spent being productive the group returned to Hotel Bali for lunch. After lunch our free day continued, some students took advantage of this time and decided to go to hardware store Cochez in order to price out items we’ll need for our CAP project. During our time in the store we found what we planned on buying for our CAP project. The students then returned to Hotel Bali for prep. The prep session was used to prepare for our English tutoring class later in the day. Today was the first day our group felt that we succeeded in teaching our students the English language. We then returned to Hotel Bali for Dinner around 7:30pm to 8:30pm. After dinner we had an activity where we wrote down questions and answered them in order to learn more about our peers. We then proceeded with our Nightly Meeting where Brianna and Celines showed their talents for the title of Leader Del Dia for the following day.
