Hello, blog! It’s Brooklynne reporting live from Ecuador.

Today we woke up later than usual at 8:45 and had an amazing breakfast with eggs, cheese tortillas, ham, yogurt, papayas, and pineapple juice. After breakfast, we decided what we wanted to do for our free day. Since there were so many requests, we split up into 2 groups. One group went with Ricardo to go check out the prices of the supplies we will need for our CAP (Community Action Project), and the other groups went with Corlin to the internet cafes. Turns out that didn’t work out the way we wanted it to, so we called on Corlin’s and Ricardo’s phone and face timed on Corlin’s computer. We all met up and went to a bakery called Pan Miestro where they sold cakes, cookies, and bread filled with chocolate. After that, we split up again. Our group went with Ricardo to a cafe called 7 Santos (Siete Santos). They sold delicious hot chocolates and sandwiches. Corlin’s group went to the park to play some basketball and swung on swings.

We later went back to the hotel to meet up to head back to lunch. For lunch, we had some rice with beans, fish, beef, lasagna, and Mango juice. We headed back to the hotel to get ready for our last day of tutoring :(. In the end, we had a ceremony for our students, gave them certificates, and took many pictures. One of my students asked us for our Instagram at the end which I found very sweet. I will miss them so much. After this, we had a meeting with a carpenter to discuss how to make the tables and benches for the students at Pachamama. It was frustrating trying to figure out how to get what we need with a little budget. Thankfully, we were able to figure it out with some help. We had dinner which was beef and rice with beans. For dessert we had churros. We went back to the hotel to have our nightly meeting which I conducted and passed the torch to our next Leaders of the Day Bruce and Paul. I hate to go but I have an early wake-up tomorrow. Ciao.
