Hello Global Glimpse viewers! Today was a very fulfilling day where we were allowed to explore the DR environment and its effect on the community. We started our day off at Santo Jimenoa where we learned about hydroelectric currents in the Dominican Republic.  A new fact we learned was that the generator had been built three times because it was destroyed twice in a hurricane. The old generator now stands as a museum. Although we were not able to see the current generator up close, we were able to view it from afar.

Next, we headed towards the river where many students experienced the Dominican water life first hand. We continued our water experience in Rancho dos Rios after lunch where we ate delicious chicken. Then we returned to the hostel to prepare for our third English lesson.

After a long day, we returned to our hostel for an early night.
