UPDATE (07/18/2024): Photos have been added!

We had a relatively chill start to the day, with a normal wake-up time of 6:30 and a welcome into the house with a home-cooked meal. We took the trip on foot from our beach house in the wonderful town of Juan Dolio onto the beautiful nearby beach. We spent the morning enjoying the sun and warm Caribbean waters, having a little rest before the next 3 days of hard work.

Some people spent their time playing games in the water or just chilling out on the shore. While many of us were surprised at the amount of salt water inhaled, we all still found a way to enjoy our time in the luscious blue water of the Caribbean. A common game of the entire day whether in the ocean or in the pool, was a game of taps. On the beach, we were greeted by locals selling a beautiful array of bracelets and necklaces, many of which ended up being bought by us!

After the beach, we went back to our villa. Some people jumped right back in the pool to cool off again, but many people were getting ready for the four-hour bus ride back to Constanza. After we had some home-cooked lunch, we hopped back on the bus and had fun singing and dancing to our playlist of music. We got back to Constanza around 6:30 pm surrounded by the gorgeous views of the mountainside and returned to our villas and had some dinner before ending the day with our nightly meetings and free time.
