Hola, Incoming SC1C Glimpsers!

We’re just under a month away from our flight, and so I hope that you’ve got your eyes glued to this blog for any sort of updates or news.  Until we’re actually roarin’ over to the DR, this blog is a great place for breaking ice and throwing out some introductions; it also might help to attach some names to faces before we see them at the airport.  For my part, here’s some very high quality photographs of me from my previous GG delegations to Esteli and Matagalpa, both in Nicaragua.

Besides being extremely photogenic, you should also know that I teach at Mt. Eden High School in Hayward, ELA (mostly freshman, also the Yearbook program).  I live in the very foggy Outer Sunset in SF, and have been leading GG trips for three years.  I hope I bring a bit of experience and wisdom to our trip, while still enjoying all the new experiences – the least of which is getting to know each and every one of you and developing into young leaders.  Please, please don’t hesitate to it mecontact me at [email protected] with any questions, concerns, or comments.

Cheers,

Matt
