Hello families!!!
Today was Global Business Day and we took a field trip to Salinas and explored the cheese factory, chocolate factory, and salt mines there. We learnt how small businesses can contribute to the prosperity of communities. It also encouraged many students to buy more ethically, as discussed in our nightly meeting. In the afternoon, we came back and tutored locals in English. Even though the trip is coming to a close, we still have a lot to learn.

Sure it was nothing like the Cheesecake Factory at home! (Bad joke). I have been trying to pretend that school isn’t starting soon and staying up late to binge watch TV.
“Ethical buying” probably the most important lesson to be learnt. Waiting to hear more about it and of course the chocolate – yum!
