Today was a really interesting day in Leon. We got to meet a Nicaraguan lawyer who studied abroad and told us many opportunities of how to travel abroad. He sounded liberal but was a little conservative. We also got to meet a tour guide for a museum and he told us about the revolution. He also told us about how women have a huge impact on politics, and he was mentioning how Hilary Clinton is running and how Nicaragua has had a female president. The tour guide took us on the rooftop and we got to see Leon from the top and how the place was used in the previous wars. We saw different graffiti from the FMLS.
We taught English classes tonight.

Thank you for telling us about your visit with a Nicaraguan lawyer on Politics Day – lots to think about here, and going into the election year in the U.S. You are getting to see and think about so much. Hello to Thuy Anne from Oakland!
