Hello everyone! My name is Abby and I will be one of your GG leaders this Summer. I am extremely excited to visit the DR with all of you and I hope you are all excited as well. I am a 27-year old community/family liaison for the New Haven Unified School District at Conley-Caraballo High School in Union City, CA . I have a passion for working with youth in my community and I love to see how young adults take their life experiences and use them as fuel for success. My community is extremely important to me and I encourage the youth around me to take an active leadership role in building strong relationships with one another so we can empower our ‘communidad.’  I strongly believe in the idea that kind and loving people can come together to change the world for the better, whether it be in our schools, within our families, or any organization we belong to; we have the power to do good and leave an imprint of love in the world. I am excited to learn from the friends we will be making in the Dominican Republic and know we will build some strong relationships. We are only 20 days away, and with each day that passes I become more and more anxious to join you on this adventure! We will be checking in with you soon!
