Hi guys! My name is Becky and I am from Round Lake Beach, Illinois (near Chicago). I am a rising senior at Round Lake Senior High School and I can’t wait to get away from Illinois for a little bit to meet new people and to experience a different perspective on the world.
Fun Fact: I am not from Illinois originally. I was born in New York. Then I lived 4 years in China with my grandmother. After coming back to the states, I lived in New York for 2 years and I also lived in New Jersey for another year. My family finally settled down in good old Round Lake Beach when I was 10.
Most Excited: I am most ecstatic about meeting my fellow Global Glimpsers and also creating close relationships with the natives of Nicaragua. I am also pumped about all the new exciting experiences and activities that we will go through together.
Most Worried: I am the most nervous about getting sick on the trip. I want to make the most of this experience so if I end up sitting on the toilet, I will be very mad at myself. My parents won’t be around to take care of me too… so that means I have to be the mature and independent adult that I hope I can be.
Anyways… I can’t wait to meet everyone! See you guys in a couple days! Have a safe travel! 🙂
