Hello everyone!!!
HAPPY AUGUST!! We are only a week and a half away from our trip to DR!
I am André Augustine, the Director of College and Career Readiness at Global Kids. I’ve been working at Global Kids for the last 4 ½ years. This Global Glimpse trip is my first time traveling with students as a chaperone. However, I am no stranger to travel education as a student.
In middle and high school, I had amazing opportunities of traveling to Italy, France, England, and New Zealand! These experiences have informed my understanding of my identity and my place in this world, and I am excited for you all to have the opportunity to have this life-changing experience this summer.
Outside of Global Kids, some of my interests and hobbies include running and skateboarding at Randall’s Island, watching reality television, and listening to music/attending concerts (Fun fact: I just saw Beyoncé 2 days ago)
This is my first time going to DR, so I’m very excited to experience the culture, taste the food, hear the music and meet the people! I look forward to seeing you all on August 10th at 4:30 am!
