Ms. Lighty in Venice June 2016
Hello Global Glimpsers! I am Katherine Lighty, one of your group leaders for our trip to San Juan de La Maguana, and I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all.
I am currently a history teacher at Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose, and just finished my 10th year in the classroom. I have visited four countries in 2016, and can’t wait to add the fifth! In my free time I like to knit and to bake cupcakes. I don’t have kids yet, but I have mastered my grandma hobbies 😉
I am looking forward to meeting you all and beginning our adventure in the Dominican Republic. Over the weekend, I will be calling you and your families to introduce myself, nerdout a little about what an exciting experience we have waiting for us, and to go over some details about our flights and travel documents.
