Hi W. MA and Feliz Verano! (Happy Summer!)

My name is Emily Beeman and I will be one of the GG Leaders for our trip to the DR. Summer has finally arrived to our region and I’m getting super excited to travel with you guys.  My love of exploration is why I volunteered to go on this amazing journey.  I have been teaching Spanish for the past 18 years, I have lived in Spain, Chile and Colombia and I’ve led trips to Spain, Peru and Costa Rica.  I believe that cultural immersion is the best educational experience that we can provide to students. My other passions are gardening, skiing, biking and cooking. I am always interested in listening to new music, hearing new perspectives and trying new things – I hope you are willing to share your ideas and thoughts with me.  If you have a chance, read some of the blog posts from the current GG trip to San Juan de la Maguana – they are having a blast!
