Hi students and parents, I am Mrs. Martinussen, one of the co-leaders for the Esteli trip July 13th. I have been a lover of world travel for many years and have lived and worked in Europe and Central America. I am a Health teacher, and will be the Health Coach for this trip. I love camping, extreme sports, running, rock climbing, reading and spending time with my husband.
I decided to be a GG leader because I strongly believe in the value and importance of US students gaining exposure and insight into 2nd and 3rd world living . I am looking forward to this trip because Nicaragua is one of the only Central American countries I have not visited! I generally speak Spanish ( mas or menos) and hope that we can all improve our language skills on this trip.
