We want to inform you that due to an airline flight cancellation, the group was unable to take their originally scheduled flight from Newark, New Jersey (EWR) to San Francisco (SFO) today. Unfortunately, the students will not be flying out of Newark tonight. Instead, they have been rebooked to depart early tomorrow – Monday, July 15th. We have updated this flight information in your portal account.

The new flights on Monday, July 15th are:
– UA1771: departs Newark, New Jersey (EWR) at 7:55 AM ET and lands in Bozeman, Montana (BZN) at 10:45 AM MT
– UA589: departs Bozeman at 3:40 PM MT and lands in San Francisco on Monday, July 15th at 5:10 PM PT

Students have been booked into the Hampton Inn & Suites Newark Airport Elizabeth hotel which is located just 5 minutes from Newark airport. Everyone is situated in their rooms and they were treated to an authentic New York [well, New Jersey] pizza dinner.

The two trip leaders, Giancarlo and Shalayna, are with the students and everyone is tired but doing well. While travel delays are unfortunate, they are not uncommon. The Global Glimpse team is available to support the group as needed until they reach their destination. Additionally, students have their cell phones to easily check in with you throughout the travel day, and we will do our best to keep you informed as well.

Please plan to pick up your student from SFO Domestic Terminal 3 (United) on the Arrivals baggage claim level. We recommend picking them up about 30 minutes after they land, to give them time to deplane and collect their checked luggage.

Queremos informarle que debido a la cancelación de un vuelo por la aerolínea, el grupo no pudo tomar su vuelo originalmente programado desde Newark, Nueva Jersey (EWR) a San Francisco (SFO) hoy. Desafortunadamente, los estudiantes no volarán desde Newark esta noche. En cambio, se les ha cambiado la reserva para salir temprano mañana, el lunes 15 de julio. Hemos actualizado la información de este vuelo en su cuenta del portal.

Los nuevos vuelos del lunes 15 de julio son:

Los dos líderes del viaje, Giancarlo y Shalayna, están con los estudiantes y todos están cansados pero les va bien. Aunque los retrasos en los viajes son lamentables, no son infrecuentes. El equipo de Global Glimpse está disponible para apoyar al grupo según sea necesario hasta que lleguen a su destino. Además, los estudiantes tienen sus teléfonos celulares para comunicarse fácilmente con usted durante el día de viaje, y haremos todo lo posible para mantenerlo informado también.

Planifique recoger a su estudiante en la Terminal 3 nacional de SFO (United) en el nivel de reclamo de equipaje de Llegadas. Recomendamos recogerlos unos 30 minutos después de aterrizar, para darles tiempo de desembarcar y recoger su equipaje facturado.
