Hi everyone!

My name is Iris Wen, and I’m an upcoming senior at Irvington High School in Fremont, California! I’m beyond grateful and excited for this opportunity to travel to a new place with all of you and experience new things.

I’m part of my school’s marching band/color guard and women’s choir – music is a huge part of my life, whether it’s singing, playing an instrument, or listening to music!! I am also involved in an organization called Interact. It’s a service based club that fosters youth empowerment/leadership and encourages high schoolers to help out within their communities and communities worldwide as well. Volunteering is something I’m passionate about. What I love about volunteering is learning about others’ stories and putting smiles on peoples’ faces!! I’m part of an organization called LETS BC2M as well. It stands for Let’s End the Stigma and Bring Change 2 Mind; we work to end the stigma around mental illness, and this topic means a lot to me. I also got my first job this summer. I work at a summer camp and Ireally love it because I work with kids and it’s extremely rewarding – I get to teach students but they also teach me a lot!

Some of my favorite hobbies and activities include spending time with my friends, watching Netflix, eating (my favorite foods are Korean BBQ and french fries, but I’ll eat anything), drinking boba (my usual order is an earl gray milk tea w/ egg pudding, 50% sugar, no ice), and playing with dogs!! Some other fun facts about myself: I talk really fast, often have dance parties (by myself) in my room, love memes, and enjoy spending time in nature.

Oh, and feel free to follow my Instagram @iriiswen! I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you guys and making new memories!! See everyone soon (✿◠‿◠)
