Hello JA2A Parents and Families,
As the group was on their way to the DR this afternoon, United had the plane return to Newark so crews could service equipment in the flight deck. As a result, the group has been rebooked for tomorrow morning on United flight 2821 leaving at 8a to travel directly to Santiago, DR. This info has also been updated on the portal. The group is doing well and United provided food vouchers for dinner tonight, as well as accommodations at a local hotel.
The group is spending the evening at the hotel and will head back early in the morning to catch their new flight.
We are working with our partners at United to make the rest of their journey to Santiago as smooth as possible, and will continue to provide updates on the group as they travel tomorrow.
