Hello Everyone. My name is Ryan Nguyen and I’m going to be one of your GGLs (Global Glimpse Leaders) on this trip to the Dominican Republic. I am an English/History teacher at Evergreen Valley High School in San Jose. I have a Masters in Globalization in Education and a Bachelor’s in History and English/Literature and I’m actively studying linguistics and composition. I am a bit of a globetrotter and enjoy just about anything and everything outdoors. Some of my hobbies include scuba diving, hockey, camping, reading, rock climbing, and snow boarding.
Global Glimpse is an amazing organization and as our world becomes more interconnected than ever, learning about and experiencing different cultures and societies becomes an increasingly important part of educating our youth. I believe in what Global Glimpse is trying to do and the opportunities it affords students. I am looking forward to meeting you all as we embark on this amazing adventure, and I know this is going to be a great trip. See you all at the airport.
